Mission Statement: WeAreTheFlag.Org’s goal is to promote the use of the American flag by those who believe in moderate, liberal and progressive causes and protest movements. By pairing the American flag with your cause, we harness its powerful, primal, aspirational symbolism. Some say we need to “Take Back The Flag,” but it’s truly been ours all along. So, let’s build something big. No matter your specific pro-democracy cause, now is the time to show that together we are stronger. Together, WE ARE THE FLAG.

We encourage you to peacefully display the flag in support of a diverse range of Constitutionally protected causes including:
Anti-corruption, choice, civil rights, climate action, criminal justice reform, education, environmental protection, fair trade, free press, free speech, gender equality, good government, common-sense gun laws, healthcare reform, immigration reform, labor rights, LGBTQ+ rights, non-violent protest, racial equality, religious freedom, rule of law, saving democracy, science, social mobility, social safety net, veterans rights, voting rights, good faith world leadership, and many more.

For maximum impact, always pair the American flag with your cause: (a) At events display the flag alongside your protest banner or rally flag. (b) At your home or business, fly the American flag above your cause flag.

You and your cause represent America's promise: (a) Proclaim proudly and loudly at your next rally, event, or protest that, "We Are The Flag." (b) Spread the message, and especially share flag pairing photos online at: #WeAreTheFlag
